2019 WES: Power for Progress
At the 2019 Summit, Power for Progress, acknowledges the progress we’ve made, recognizes what we’ve yet to accomplish, and finds purpose to keep moving forward by empowering ourselves and others. We asked each attendant to nurture and support the goal of learning from the past and reflecting on the present to create a more equitable future. There were roughly 300 people in attendance at the Summit. We highlighted 34 speakers/presenters of diverse women in the area of business, corporate, government, higher education and leaders in the civic engagement. More than 25 individuals, and 17 Task Force Committees volunteered their time, talents and contributed to support the Summit.
2018 WES: Unleashing Your Superpowers
At our 2018 Summit, Unleashing Your Superpower, we successfully served a diverse group of more than 230 women and offered participants two panel forums on Hero Story and Mothering while Working, five breakout sessions covering the topics of Financial Literacy, Health and Wellness, Emotional Well-being, Advocacy, and Self-care, keynote speaker- Diana Patton: Rise and Commit to Be Your Best Self and roundtable discussion during lunch with 15 Women Leaders and Mentors. Overall, 91.7% of attendees responded that the program fulfilled their reasons for attending the Summit.
